Tom was referred to me by my log cabin supplier, Kalispell Montana Log Homes. He built the foundation cap, wrap around porch deck, log set, roof framing, insulation, and steel roof for my 34′ x 42′ home. Tom brought his mobile home to our site along with all his tools and staging. He lived on site during the construction process. I had the pleasure and learning experience of assisting him during the seven weeks of construction.
Tom offers the following for his service:
Experience in all phases of log home construction
Attention to every detail
Efficient and tireless work ethics
Consistent, reliable, and SAFE work practices
All the tools and tricks of the trade
I am happy that Tom was available for my project and that I had the chance to get to know him not just as a builder but also as a person who I now consider a friend. I highly recommend Tom for any project that he is willing to undertake.

This was the first house I’ve ever built and was so happy to have Tom on my side. You will not meet a more honest and hard working man in your life. What he can do with a chainsaw is incredible. His craftsmanship and quality of logs were above and beyond my expectations.

We chose Tom as our carpenter to build our foundation cap and bring our log cabin to its weather tight stage of completion. It was a choice we never regretted for a minute. Tom has all the carpentry skills uniquely associated with log home building. He’s done it all many times and his experience shows in the artful execution of all he does.
As first-time home builders, we’ve been learning a lot and Tom has been tremendously helpful in this regard. He knows what does and doesn’t work and was very forthcoming with suggestions if he felt something on our plan could be improved on. We’ve been our own General Contractors for this project and our success as such is due in no small part to Tom’s help and guidance. He went out of his way on more than one occasion to bail us out of some tough spots, always saying he would do whatever he had to do to get the job done right.
Our Dream cabin is no longer just a dream. It’s a rock-solid reality. Excellent work, Tom!

It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that I write this review and testimonial. Simply put, Tom and Pat Bronczyk are the most committed, trustworthy and hard working people you will ever meet. Their attention to detail and commitment to get things right the first time is beyond outstanding. I initially met Tom through a recommendation from my log supplier (Andersen Log Homes). Tom took me through 3 homes that he had either built or was in the process of building and I immediately recognized the quality of his efforts and the special care taken throughout the construction process.
Tom is an expert in Log Home construction and we feel very fortunate he was able to dedicate his time to build our dream retreat. If I had to do it all over again, there is absolutely nothing I would change thanks to Tom’s expertise and demanding pursuit of excellence. If you are looking for the best Log Home builder in Minnesota, look no further than Custom Northern Log Homes. Fantastic to work with and the end results are magnificent. On a scale of 1 to 10, our family gives them an 11!

We were first time builders and wanted to build a custom Swedish coupe log home for retirement. We chose Tom and Pat Bronczyk after meeting and touring several custom log homes they built.
He brought his camper and lived onsite throughout the building project. We were the general contractor and Tom was very helpful with coordinating and communicating with the subcontractors. Tom is very dedicated, personable and driven to perfection. We had a solid and good working relationship.
His log workmanship is amazing and admirable. He is very talented with his chainsaw!
If you are looking for an experienced and dedicated log home builder, look no further than Custom Northern Log Homes, Inc.
Thanks Tom and Pat!

Tom Bronczyk has single-handedly been working on all the carpentry/framing work for our handcrafted Swedish cope log home (log shell built by Andersen Log Homes) for almost a year now. He camps on our property and works tirelessly 16hr days in the heat, snow, rain and wind. Every few weeks he makes the long drive back home or to another build while hauling enormous loads of premium material back and forth. He is incredibly skilled in all aspects of log builds and has been so very helpful to us in organizing our project. He consistently goes above and beyond in providing the highest quality craftsmanship, as well as bringing our dream to life better than we could have ever imagined. He adds a lot of beautiful accents and is very detail oriented. We are so appreciative of Tom’s knowledge and ability to move this project along for us. He works like an ox every single day and it is obvious that he puts 100% of himself into each home he builds. He also is excellent at communicating new ideas or asking for opinions on things, never afraid of adapting to change or homeowners’ wishes. He really strives to involve us in the process. The quality workmanship speaks for itself, it is just incredible. We highly recommend Tom and Pat with Custom Northern Log Homes.

CUS TOM!!!
That’s what his competitors are doing . We feel so fortunate to have someone so knowledgeable of building log homes. Every detail in plumbing, electrical, lighting, doorways and hallways from where to put receptacles where to put light switches and the know how. Well hell! He should! He’s been doing it for 40 years .
I didn’t hire him as a GC. I wanted to do that. But still Tom has an eye on everything everyone is doing. Being a GC is in his blood. And he keeps an eye on it all, from every little detail to the major most important parts of the structure. An example… I ran the crane to set the logs. They were putting in the vertical log, 300 pounds, in one of the king Truss. I was receiving directions to lineup on the cable. This was putting a lot of pressure on the ridge log so when the log went into place everything was very tight. I kept watching the boom tip come down, I stopped, Press the button for the load weight. I had 2300 lbs Of weight. 2000 pounds of direct pressure on the ridge log. I told him they would have to make it work. It was getting dangerous. Afterwords they asked me again, “how much weight was on there”? I clarified, 2000 pounds. They couldn’t believe it. “ we didn’t hear a creek, crack, pop or anything!”
That is the perfect example of how well everything is built and all except for the main logs, Tom did it all with very little to no help.
He works by his self with equipment and rigging. He knows every nail and every screw and he knows it’s in the right place. The scrap at the end of the day wouldn’t fill a wheelbarrow, unless you get the sawdust too. He’s a busy man so if you decide to build a log home you better contact him ASAP.
